Yifu Liu is an art historian and curator. He is the 2024 Anne L. Poulet Curatorial Fellow at The Frick Collection. He is currently finishing his PhD in Art and Archaeology at Princeton University. He specializes in eighteenth-century cultural exchange between Europe and China, and his research focuses on the translation of knowledge, missionary activities at the Qing court, and visual representations of Chinese art and architecture in European collections.

 

He was the doctoral fellow at the Ricci Institute for Chinese-Western Cultural History at Boston College, and he worked in the curatorial and education departments of the Morgan Library, Brooklyn Museum, and Princeton University Art Museum. He is conducting research on European and Chinese works on paper and decorative arts, including porcelain, furniture, and clocks.
