We are pleased to share with you that our current exhibition Transcultural Dialogues: The Journey of East Asian Art to the West has been featured in Annikka Olsen’s insightful article In Defense of the Summer Group Show, published on Artnet News, underscoring our exhibition for broadening the perspective of East Asian art within the Western art scene.
As a cross-gallery collaboration with Hollis Taggart’s exhibition, Asian-American Abstraction: Historic to Contemporary, we seek to bridge the East and West, the past and present, particularly in terms of artistic exchange and development. Our exhibition, which departs from a historical point of view, aims to give a fresh outlook on the evolution of East Asian art practices in today’s contemporary landscape.
FQM’s exhibition has been extended until October 19th. In celebration of Asia Week in September, we will feature a vibrant mix of traditional East Asian paintings alongside contemporary pieces that honor and expand upon East Asian traditions. Come and visit us to experience the dynamic interplay between classical Chinese artistry and edgy contemporary expressions!
