Fu Qiumeng Fine Art warmly invites you to a special curator-led walkthrough of the exhibition Contemplation / Meditation: Concepts and Cultures, presented during Asia Week New York.
Led by curators Fu Qiumeng and Jeffrey Wechsler, this guided tour will introduce key works in the exhibition while offering insight into the curatorial vision behind the project. Through selected artworks, the curators will discuss how artists across different cultural backgrounds engage with ideas of contemplation, meditation, and inner reflection, revealing the ways artistic practice can become a space for spiritual inquiry, philosophical thought, and attentive looking.
The walkthrough will explore the conceptual framework of the exhibition as well as the artistic approaches represented in the show, highlighting how contemporary and modern artists reinterpret traditions, materials, and visual languages to address questions of stillness, perception, and awareness.
Several participating artists will also be present, offering visitors the opportunity to engage in informal dialogue and gain first-hand perspectives on their work.
