58.4 x 94 cmMount Hua #2: In one of their earliest collaborations, Arnold Chang and Michael Cherney utilized a monochrome photograph of Mount Hua in central China (After Mi Fu, 2010). The uncanny resemblance of Mount Hua’s peaks to classical brushwork makes it one of Cherney’s favorite destinations. Cherney returned to the location depicted in the earlier collaboration to photograph it in color, and Chang completed the composition using a complementary range of warm and cool tones.
