58.4 x 134.6 cmAfter Xiao Yuncong: The photographic portion depicts a detailed view of Lao Shan (Lao Mountain) along the coast of Shandong province near the city of Qingdao. Xiao Yuncong (1596-1673) painted landscapes characterized by clean lines and angular forms. Inspired by Cherney’s photographic excerpt, Chang constructs a restrained composition to honor the 17th-century master.
