张洪（Arnold Chang）号巨川，1954年生于纽约，苏格兰血统华裔美国人，现居新泽西。张洪是一位接受过中国正统文人水墨绘画训练的艺术家，同时身兼策展人, 艺术史学者，鉴定家等身份。他运用十世纪中国文人广泛使用的材料、工具和技法来创作，致力于探索水、墨、笔触和线条运动的平衡之美。他提出了中国古典文人绘画方法与西方抽象表现主义的创作方式有着相似的原理－形环相套的分形几何结构（Fractal Expression)。自此发展了更为抽象的表达方式，通过西方抽象绘画方式重新评估中国绘画传统，作品意在探索中国山水绘画中变换的视角和视点的问题。
