Reciting Wang Wei's poem brings Wang Mansheng to the same environment of the Tang Dynasty poet, allowing him to dwell phenomenologically in the archaic nature that inspires poetry.

屏居淇水上，東野曠無山。
Living with ease by riverside,I see no hills in east plain wide.

日隱桑柘外，河明閭井間。
The sun sinks beyond mulberries;The stream flows between cots and trees.

牧童望村去，獵犬隨人還。
The shepherds to the village go;Hunters come back with hound and bow.

靜者亦何事，荊扉趁晝關。
What shall I do, looking before?Though it is noon, I’ll close my door.
