A sense of movement and spontaneity is realized through his masterful use of free, flowing, intertwined ink lines and dots. Though no specific topography seems visible, Chang, by adding texture and depth in his most expressive brushwork, suggests the presence of rocky terrain and dense foliage that one can still appreciate and travel within.
