Autumn: A rare example of Michael Cherney’s color photography, the excerpt in this image depicts a summertime view of Múlagljúfur Canyon in southeast Iceland. Cherney adjusted the original color of the photograph by “rotating” a quarter turn on the color spectrum to arrive at an autumnal palette. Chang balanced the unique hues by meticulously layering ink and watercolors.
